Undoubtedly the magnificent Southwell minster should be visited, the showstopper of Southwell. The owners are happy to recommend friendly local pubs, they insist on regularly sampling them themselves, as well as a variety of restaurants, take-aways and supermarkets for cosy nights in. You are lucky to have several local food producers close by, why not take advantage of the fresh quality produces for a real taste of Nottinghamshire.
Towns of Newark on Trent, Nottingham and Lincoln are close by if you are looking to enjoy the history of Newark Castle, shopping in Nottingham or the cathedral quarter of Lincoln.
