Cosy shepherd’s hut for two on the Llŷn Peninsula, with far-reaching mountain views, a wood-burning stove, private shower room and fire pit for evenings outside, close to Snowdonia and Portmeirion.
For a compact escape with big skies, this shepherd’s hut sits in a quiet rural spot on the Llŷn Peninsula, close to the border of Eryri National Park. Surrounded by open countryside, it enjoys far-reaching views towards the Yr Eifl mountains and makes a memorable base for couples who want to walk, explore and return to somewhere snug. With Portmeirion within easy reach and the coastline close by, days out can be as active or as laid back as you like.
Inside, the hut is thoughtfully designed to make small-space living feel effortless. There is a comfy double bed, a private shower room with a flushing toilet, and a wood-burning stove with logs to keep the evenings cosy. The kitchenette is compact but practical, with an oven and two-ring hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and cafetiere, plus the basics for cooking and eating in. Little touches such as towels, bed linen and handmade toiletries are provided, and a Bluetooth speaker and radio add to the relaxed feel.
Step outside to your own seating area and make the most of the fresh air, whether you are eating al fresco or warming up by the fire pit. A barbecue is available for simple suppers, and parking is close behind the hut. There are five huts on site, each with its own character, so it still feels special and personal. Please note that pets are not permitted. Spend your days discovering beaches, coastal paths and mountain viewpoints, then come back to stargaze and unwind in a peaceful setting.
