Situated in Mathry with its village green a dog friendly pub serving food all day tea rooms and restaurant Little Roost is a lovely cosy base to return to. It’s also just a short drive or walk from Pembrokeshire’s north coast and beaches. Nearby Porthgain Harbour is an almost undiscovered jewel of the county steeped in history and still used as a small local fishing harbour and also has links to the famous gallery of artist John Knapp Fisher and the Preseli Mountains with its long walks and burial chambers. The north coast of Pembrokeshire is an ideal location for the perfect getaway an untouched and historic part of Wales - one of the great walking destinations of the UK. Hose riding golf coasteering and surf lessons all nearby. Shop 1½ miles pub and restaurant 500 yards. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/518/840/518896.jpg W42846

A little hard to find when first arriving but a lovely place once found. Absolutely lovely, comfortable cottage in a lovely rural setting. The weather was a little chilly so the log burner was very welcome. Location is between St David’s and Fishguard and Cardigan bay a little further. We visited Whitesand beach which was lovely and being out of season were able to take our dog. The Farmers arms a stones throw away is a lovely, welcoming pub which serves really tasty food and well worth a visit or two. There is also a tea room but at this visit we didn’t get to try it. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return.

We had a fantastic weekend break at Little Roost, we had a wonderful welcome and were greeted with glorious home made cake, wine and firewood, just perfect! The local pub was really friendly and very dog friendly. The location is pretty close to everything, we spent time at St Davids, Newgale and Whitesands and the Druidstone was great for lunch. We’ll definitely be back!
