    The barn was lovely - well located and lots of lovely features (including milk and tea, and a warm fire when we arrived). The hosts were very friendly and made us feel like special guests. I hope I get to visit the area again!

    This was one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in and a thoughtful conversion of an old building. In wonderful countryside with lots of walking, but just a short drive to picturesque Alston with it's co-op and the most amazing wholefood shop. The owners just across the yard are perfect - friendly and helpful, full of advice and local knowledge but totally discreet.
