No smoking.Situated in the quiet village of Carradale these three charming semi-detached holiday cottages refs 30645 30646 and 30647 offer an ideal location from which to explore the beauty of Kintyre. Colin’s Cottage and Douglas Cottage offer cosy studio accommodation with the bedroom in the style of old Scottish bothies with the bed tucked against the wall in its own recess. The surrounding area is well known for its fine beaches unspoiled countryside and scenic walks with the addition of ’The Kintyre Way’ making this a good base from which to explore the Kintyre Peninsula including local landmarks of Skipness Castle the Mull of Kintyre the Isles of Arran and Gigha. Lying just off the west coast of Kintyre the Isle of Gigha offers a pleasant day trip for visitors. Within a short distance there are many quiet and sandy beaches to explore and there is easy access to the Isles of Islay Arran and Jura - all of which are well worth the visit. Jura one of the wildest and most mountainous of the Inner Hebrides is an ideal place to go for peace and quiet and some great walking. Islay is a great place to visit for wildlife enthusiasts as it boasts a large RSPB reserve a wintering population of barnacle and white-fronted geese and a Wildlife Information Centre. \nThe Royal Burgh of Campbeltown is the main centre of population in Kintyre. Glasgow is only 20-30 minutes’ flying time from Machrihanish airport which in turn is 35 minutes’ driving time from the property. \nCampbeltown is one of a handful of areas in Scotland categorised as a whisky producing region and is home to the Campbeltown Single Malt - at one point having 34 distilleries and proclaiming itself ’the whisky capital of the world’. The town boasts two distilleries as well as a museum heritage centre and harbour with a music festival. Another attraction in the burgh is the recreation centre fitness centre swimming pool cafe and library. The town is well served with supermarkets independently owned local shops which sell a wide variety of goods with excellent hotels and restaurants offering the finest local produce. \nBeach\n 12\n mile. Shop pub and restaurant 500 yards 10-minute walk. \n" https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/919/840/919045.jpg 30647

The rules were quite rude ref 'you will be turfed out if not vacated by 10 am. Also parking was difficult as the parking bay was not long enough so rear of car over white line and you had to reverse out onto the main road. you couldn't go in straight because of another parking bay divided by a log and a hugh planter on the other side.We parked behind the Village Hall but this didn't suit the owners!

We experienced peace and quiet at its best! Our location and cottage was perfect! Homely, comfy and a stones throw away from breathtaking views! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will be returning in the near future!
