Lovely cottage and hot tub. Easy walk to Holmfirth which has lots of interesting shops and eating places. Did not like the fans in some rooms and humidifier found it hard to relax with the constant noise of these and fridge in lounge area, also boiler in bedroom. Very clean and pretty place.

The walk from the car to the cottage was mainly across a dirt-track so when you arrive into the hall of the cottage we wiped our shoes on the mat and accidentally one of my shoes touched her carpet (at home we only walk on our carpets with slippers). Angela immediately made a point of not walking on the carpet with shoes. She got on all fours and started rubbing the carpet which I found quite offensive. The dirt-track outside the cottage could have been tidied up. The rambling rose and nettles could have been cut-back so that no one should have to walk in the mud, especially as there had been a lot of rain. There was no option but to walk in mud and very wet soggy grass. The cottage was nicely furnished but to be told immediately, if you do any damage you must ring her immediately, it made you feel that you were afraid to touch anything. What sort of people do you get in the cottages if you have to have this made clear to you on arrival. I really did not like her attitude and was pleased to come home. For several years we have booked dog friendly cottages and never experienced behaviour like this before.

Lovely place - the hot tub under the stars is awesome. Bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped - the snacks and homemade cakes were lovely and Angela was always at the end of the phone if there were any issues. Only problems relate to parking which can be a bit tricky and the walk back up the hill from town can be a little strenuous after a few pints, but these are hardly the fault of the cottage. Had a great week and it was just what it needed.

Spent a week at the cottage with our dog. It was absolutely wonderful. Angela was great at keeping I touch with us beforehand to make sure everything was perfect when we arrived. She even made sure there were gluten free snacks available for my partner who is gluten intolerant. So thoughtful. The cottage was in a great location. Loads of great walks for the dog nearby or within a short driving distance. It was great that there were so many nice dog friendly pubs nearby too. Hot tub was great and the fire was lovely to warm up on the colder nights. Couldn’t fault the experience in anyway. Felt really relaxed. It was just what we needed. Hope to go back again.
