It’s in an ideal location for excellent walks, as Cromford Canal, Black Rocks and High Peak Trail are all close by. Matlock Bath is only 2 miles and Bakewell is 10 miles away, where you can spend a day around Chatsworth House or the medieval Haddon Hall. 20 miles away is Buxton Opera House and Gardens, also Castleton and its caves. Take a boat tour and listen to the history in and around Matlock itself, you will find a vast array of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and antique shops. Being situated on the border of Matlock and Matlock Bath, there is direct access from the property to walking trails including the Limestone Way. The National Tramway Museum at Crich is also close by, or take advantage of the good walking around the Derwent Valley and White Peak. Cycling can be enjoyed at Carsington Water and the High Peak Cycle Trail. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
