With a wood burner that takes pride of place in the cosy living room and an external games room, featuring table tennis, pool table and darts amongst others, it makes for a wonderful all year round family break. This is a true dog walker’s paradise. The enclosed garden to the rear of the property opens directly onto a beautiful meadow with many walks from your doorstep. Meadow View is only a short drive or cycle ride away from the famous 8½-mile long Monsal trail, a paradise for walkers and cyclists passing through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales. It is only a 15-minute drive to the magical Goyt Valley, to Mam Tor with gorgeous views of the Peak District from its summit and to beautiful Castleton with its underground caves. A 10-minute drive will take you to the heart of Buxton, famous for its spring water, diverse architecture, Pavilion Gardens and of course the Opera House. The ever-popular market town of Bakewell, the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are all around a half hour drive, as is the National Trust property of Lyme Park. The popular walks and climbs at Stanage Edge with its impressive gritstone escarpment are also only a half hour drive away. All in all, this makes a perfect base from which to explore the Peak District whether by foot, bike or car. You can even leave the car at home and get around by bus and rail, with a bus stop at the end of the road and railway stations in Dove Holes, 2 miles away and Buxton. Shops 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
