Outside, the lodge is surrounded by a decked area that sits flush with all doorways, leading to a seating area and private hot tub, with ramp access down to the lawned garden.
The lodge offers ample space for larger families or groups of friends (please note, no stag or hen parties). Each bedroom features an oak-framed bed and an en-suite with a walk-in shower, while two bedrooms also benefit from baths. The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area creates a sociable hub for spending time together, and the wood burner provides a cosy touch on cooler evenings. For added comfort, each room has individually controlled thermostatic radiators.
Located 7½ miles west of Llandrindod Wells—known locally as ‘Landod’—the area is steeped in history, with origins tied to healing spring waters first utilised by the Romans and later popularised by the Victorians. Today, this heritage is celebrated with an annual festival that transforms the town into a Dickensian-style setting each August.
Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, the region is ideal for walking and fishing, with easy access to the stunning Elan Valley and its dams, as well as the Brecon Beacons National Park. Nearby attractions include Rhayader with its red kite feeding station and Welsh Royal Crystal workshops; Builth Wells and the Royal Welsh Showground; Brecon, home to its famous jazz festival, cathedral, and castle; the literary hub of Hay-on-Wye; Llanwrtyd Wells, known for its unique events such as the Man vs Horse race and bog snorkelling; and Knighton, home to the Offa’s Dyke Centre. The nearest pub and restaurant are 5¾ miles away.
Lime Lodge (UK42547) and Hawthorn Lodge (UK42546) can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.
