Had a lovely time. The cottage has most things that you need for a comfortable holiday Portpatrick is a wonderful picturesque place with lots to do for all the family. We would definitely return

Unfortunately the house is not equipped for a large family with younger children. We needed to eat in for dinner so found one oven broken, only one saucepan with a lid, 5 wine glasses and not enough dessert bowls for our family ie 9 adults and 2 children. A tumble drier was not supplied and essential for families and the wet weather often experienced in that part of Scotland. There was a washing whirligig but only found 3pegs. Not good enough. This was our second cottage and I’m afraid we were rather spoilt for equipment at Braefield the first week. We stayed at this house 6 yrs ago but afraid the standards have slipped significantly.

Great house, good location, could have been cleaner ie vomit on curtains & carpet, duvet covers needed ironing, grass needs cut , instructions needed for appliances, blinds in kitchen/dining room both broken. It is the attention to detail that would make this place an excellent place to stay if these things sorted. Kev the handy man very friendly & helpful.

Lovely house but don't think much to the cleaners. We were under the the impression that the hot tub was at the front of the property as shown in the paperwork, we were very disappointed that it was at the back of the house not ideal.the lid kept blowing off it. We seen no-one when we arrived to show how things worked only reason someone came was because I rang them as we had no electricity and had problems with the oven. There was a torch but it didn't work.Overall very disappointing don't think I would return.the kitchen could have been better equipped.

Cottage was easy to find and in a fairly decent location in portpatrick cottage was fairly dirty with lots of cobwebs and filthy floors. There was no mattress for two days for the baby cot we ordered and was a nightmare to chase the owner for one. Not a great experience as we were only there for 3 days and two of them my infant son had no mattress.

Was perfect for what we wanted. Lovely property and great value for money but air on the side of caution if you are looking to get out and do a variety of activities this place may leave abit to be desired unless you are will to drive.

A lovely Holiday home. Would recommend and stay there again. Only half the oven worked so did cause hassle when cooking for 12. Also a bad leak at front door. Overall though everything was good.
