There is plenty to do in the local area. Just a short drive away is the ancient Devon town of Axminster, considered the ‘gateway to the Jurassic Coast’. Axminster dates back to the Celtic time around 300BC. You can explore its history at the Heritage Centre or sample the delights of Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage at nearby Trinity Hill.
The harbour village of Lyme Regis is also within easy reach, just 7 miles away, which is a popular spot with its famous Cobb and sandy beach.
