if I could give this cottage more than 10 I would triple it. It was a fantastic cottage and very well adapted for anybody with a disability. The only let down was castleton which was the nearest village that had a coop which had only the very bare basics a derelict petrol station but a very good decent pub. The view from the back of the cottage is lovely and the sheep talking to you when you wake up what more could you ask for

Lovely location, great views. We found some lovely local places to eat, also not too far from the sea at Whitby/Saltburn Plenty of room, and all being on the ground floor was excellent as family with limited mobility meaning no steps. Plenty of lovely walks on the moors for the dog. Will be back again

We had an exceptionally peaceful holiday, fabulous cottage with wonderful views. The gorgeous lambs bouncing about were a definite bonus! Although the pub is only a mile away and serves good pub grub it was not really walkable unless you like a steep up hill climb after eating. There are a few good pubs in drivable distance. The cottage is lovely, cozy and very comfortable, my only suggestion would be some blackout linings to the curtains in the bedrooms.

It's a perfect place to escape to and the setting and views are outstanding. The Byre has a lovely homely feel about it and we would love to go back again soon. The only negative I have is that there are no basics in the kitchen, ie no tea bags or coffee, ketchup or brown sauce. I'd packed these things but I wonder if this would have made it just a little bit more welcoming, particularly as the shop is over a mile away or if you arrive late; they could be there on the understanding that you replace what you use. There was also no kitchen cleaner (only washing up detergent) as I would have liked to give the worktop and hob a good clean after cooking. Overall though, it had everything that you could need for a weekend escape. Thank you.

The Byre is a lovely cottage with amazing views, situated in a very peaceful area of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. There are walks from the door, and many more in the area. The coast is nearby with Whitby and Staithes, a must see. The Milky Way is visible on clear nights too, as it is a dark sky area. It is dog friendly too, but note, it is a working farm - sheep, and dogs must be on leads in the National Park. We had no problems, and we have two Border Collies- who loved it. We have booked again for next year.
