Great Easter break at Mulluons. Very spacious cottage with amazing views. Location was brilliant and we didn’t need to use the car at all over the weekend. Will definitely return to visit more of the cafes and pubs in Castleton. Bridget the housekeeper was very helpful and our kids enjoyed egg hunting in the garden!

Overall, we had an excellent stay in Mullions, location was superb, the facilities were great, and it was however, the cottage is looking a bit tired and in my opinion it is in need of a spruce up. The sofas are well worn, the oven and some oven pans were dirty, lots of cutlery but not one set of glasses and in places Mullions looks unloved. Its in need of a bit of TLC to make it a brilliant place to stay.

A lovely cottage on the outskirts of the village with on road parking outside. The village itself was lovely with an abundance of walking on your doorstep. The cottage itself is a stunning building with lots of olde world charm. Large rooms, furnishings were comfortable enough and good quality WiFi. We didn’t use the decking area due to the time of year but it afforded wonderful views and would be great in the warmer months. Only negative points were that the bathrooms and hallway could do with decoration / sprucing up and we needed to boil a kettle to get hot water for washing up in the kitchen. I would stay at this property again.

Lovely setting, interesting house and extremely clean. Let down by poor lighting in sitting room and dining room, no good reading light. Kitchen sink and tap very dated, and twin room could do with an upgrade. The other bedrooms are very comfortable. The location is great, fabulous views and so many good walks.

Excellent cottage in a very good location. My overall scores would all be10 but for the fact we could not get the central heating to work and the squeakiness of the floorboards upstairs appeared to excessive.

We had a most comfortable holiday staying in Mullions, Castleton. Local shops are a short drive or walk away and there are more than enough places to eat. The area is lovely with something for everyone, we walked, visited country houses, museums and took in a train ride, as well as visiting Hathersage and Bakewell. We also attended a family wedding in Buxton which was just the right distance away for us to come back to change after the wedding for the evening do and go back again to Buxton. We also enjoyed Mullions itself, cosy bedrooms and a sense of history to the ground floor, but really comfortable and very well equipped. We felt that the cottage was very welcoming and it's very generous of the owners to share it.
