There was no lighting to the dinning room, which caused problems as we had intended to have friends and family for dinner on a few evenings. It also meant there was no lighting to the second bedroom, which again caused problems. The kitchen hot water tap was merely a dribble. The upstairs shower had virtually no power when needing hot water. The light in the fridge was broken. Parking was restrictive to say the least. Nevertheless the property was very nice, the views breathtaking and the walks unbelievable.

Very good. But wi fi only worked in the kitchen and not round the whole house as advertised. The router needs updating.Shower gave out luke warm water even when it was put on high. Central heating was unreliable at times.Otherwise it was a very good holiday.

We completely fell in love with the cottage and didn't want to leave! Such a special place and so quiet and peaceful, the location being tucked away on the edge of town. The views were beautiful and we particularly loved the breakfast area, so cosy! The dogs were made to feel very welcome with doggy towels provided and a secure garden which had lovely views. We would definitely stay here again!

The cottage was a disappointment, old and uncomfortable sofas in the lounge, with gloomy lighting and decor that needs updating. Lots of cobwebs around as well. However, upstairs was better and looks like it has been refurbished.

the cottage needs some TLC to bring it upto the standard I would expect grubby is the best word to describe the cottage, especially downstairs kitchen tap still not sorted despite previous complaints various comments on the website from previous customers not attended to hence I assume that the owners are of the attitude "take it or leave it" vermin in the roof needs sorting, despite sending in a complaint 4 days ago I have not heard back

Beautiful old cottage with wonderful views out of the windows and also from the top of the garden. A few areas (kitchen sink and cupboards, might be nice to have a walk in shower in one of the bathrooms) could do with updating, though it is clear the current owners are gradually getting around to this. Fantastic old wooden dining table for long and luxurious family meals. Poor top-up heating for cold summers nights. Loved the stone flagged floors, the windows, the garden terrace.

We enjoyed the cottage very much but on a rainy evening if you wanted to watch the TV, we felt the media needed updating. Wasn't a lot of choice in this day and age. We are not one for watching much tele, we would play cards or games rather than tv but on the odd occasion when the younger adults wanted to watch something there was little choice.

Great Easter break at Mulluons. Very spacious cottage with amazing views. Location was brilliant and we didn’t need to use the car at all over the weekend. Will definitely return to visit more of the cafes and pubs in Castleton. Bridget the housekeeper was very helpful and our kids enjoyed egg hunting in the garden!
