Northgate Bakery Annex is a comfortable, well equipped and quirky holiday cottage handy for all the local amenities. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

Good base for cycling - there was a covered area for storage of bikes. Central location and handy for restaurants and shops. Easy to walk from cottage to areas in the Broads Park. Although on a busy road, traffic noise was not a problem at nights, though it was cold, so windows were shut!
Lovely property,great owners.Good location.Enjoyable experience all round

The cottage was fine and in a very good location. The only problem is the heating. It is controlled from the owners house and when asked to switch it on during a cold March week, they did only to switch it off again. They claimed that an electric decorative fire in the sitting room was a convector heater but it gave out no heat. This meant we had a very cold and uncomfortable stay.
Northgate Bakery Annex was excellent. We needed a base in Beccles for visiting relations and we could come and go as we wanted.
Host was friendly and very helpful. The cottage was unique. Bed so comfy. Beccles very interesting.
Just what we wanted.

Lovely quirky cottage
We just needed a couple of days away and this was perfect. A beautiful little cottage, very quiet in a good central position for Beccles. Sue was a perfect hostess ensuring we had everything we needed.
Excellent position and very welcoming hosts.
Ideal for any length of stay.
This cottage dates from the 1500's, so does have low door ways, stairs that turn sharply, like climbing a clock tower, with a bedroom floor that is at a slope, but don't let this put you off.
It has been well updated, keeping the charm of the old building.
There is plenty of space for two people, the kitchen is a bit small, but we never cook hot meals when away on holiday, just snacks, so was plenty of bigger enough for us.
The couple who own the annex, live next door & our helpful, not only about the accommodation but about the local area, walks, places to visit, local restaurants etc, with a selection of leaflets in the accommodation.
Loved the cottage Sue and Chris were good hosts. The cottage was warm and friendly clean and had good facilities. I would definitely book this again. Jean
Very nice cottage. The owners Chris and Sue were very welcoming. The cottage is in the heart of Beccles. The cottage is very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful cottage in a lovely location, hosts very welcoming. All possible amenities within striking distance and an interesting area to explore.
A lovely quaint cottage with all modern amenities. Beautifully clean and comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything. Their attention to detail is amazing. Will be going back next year. A real home from home.
Thank you for such a warm welcome, The Bakery Annex was perfect for our mini break catching up with family and friends, so easy to get into Norwich and lovely to return to each evening
We had a really good week. The house was beautiful, with everything two people would need; the only possible downsides were low ceilings for taller visitors (especially on the stairs) and occasional loud trafic noise at night - strange considering it looks on to a one-way, 20mph road, but true. Beccles was very charming, we spent a large amount of time just wandering around the town, and there were shops in easy walking distance for all the essentials. There were also good road routes to Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Norwich for days out. All in all a great place to stay.
