Extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage. Given the British weather, the games room was a godsend. Garden could easily be 10/10 with a little TLC. We had a very enjoyable weekend stay, and would stay again.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in! Definitely more of a second home than just a holiday let. Lovely garden and conservatory. Superb quality and comfort throughout. Fabulous walking from the doorstep. The Wye valley was great for canoeing, dog walks and eating out. The Forest of Dean offers lots of activities for most ages. It was the perfect base for a family get together with Sandy the cockapoo. We'd definitely like to go back.

Beautiful tranquil setting, the location is fabulous with sheep roaming round the green and horses and ponies in the fields. The cottage is well equipped with everything you will need to make your stay pleasurable, from lots of equipment in the kitchen to dog towels for our four legged friends. The only thing we would change was the shower lacked power for washing long hair... We had a lovely week at the cottage and will be happy to return again, preferably when the weather is better so that we can explore a bit more!

We stayed at Oak Tree Cottage over the weekend and it was the perfect getaway. It was very cozy, spacious with a large kitchen and a surprisingly large array of books and movies. We enjoyed taking the dog out for long walks by the woods and even managed to see stag and wild boar during an evening walk! We found the cottage to be immaculately clean with plenty of towels in the bathroom and more laid out in the conservatory for the dog. There is a games room by the garden with a pool table and darts board and the living room has TV with Sky sports. The cottage overall is lovely and well worth the price; it's certainly the nicest we have stayed at and we can't recommend it enough!

Nice dog friendly cottage in a lovely area, right at the forest edge with lovely garden and walks from the door, with lots of birds, fallow deer and wild boar seen in the village. As in some previous reviews, the cottage does need a bit of attention in places, and a good clean, but it is comfortable and well equipped. Only one bathroom which could be an issue if fully occupied with 6 people. Lots of lovely walks and good dog friendly pubs/ places to eat within a few miles, and supermarkets a bit distant but they will deliver. The owners are friendly and responsive if problems occur. Very quiet area, much of which has no phone reception but cottage has very good wifi.

Great cottage overall, even better than we thought it would be from the web site. +++Lots of space, lots of kit, lots of walks straight from the cottage (which mainly we didn't) and lots of things to see and do (which mainly we did). ---Echo previous reviewer, does need a clean, especially the oven. Incoming only phone did not seem to work (would have liked to have used it, mobile reception very poor, but wi-fi very good). email contact details for the owner/caretaker would therefore be helpful, just in case. Frustrating. Found gaining entry rather awkward, keys not labelled, and very fiddly to get just right. Spent quite a while trying the front door, which was bolted from the inside.
