Positioned directly opposite the beautiful Pannett Park, guests can enjoy immediate access to one of Whitby’s most loved green spaces—home to the fascinating Whitby Museum, a fantastic nautical-themed children’s play park, and vibrant seasonal flower displays that bring the park to life throughout spring and summer.
Set within a characterful red brick period building that has been thoughtfully restored, the apartment blends historic charm with modern living. Located on the second floor, it enjoys elevated views across the park, creating a bright and relaxing setting for your stay. The open-plan living area is both welcoming and sociable, featuring a large sofa with chaise lounge alongside bean bags gathered around a smart TV—perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. A dining table set by the window allows you to enjoy meals while taking in the lovely park views, while the well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a home-from-home experience.
The family bathroom is conveniently located on this level and includes a bath with shower over. Three steps lead down to the sleeping area, where you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom and a versatile bunk room featuring a double bed below and a single above—ideal for families. The bunk room also boasts access to a spacious rear balcony, a wonderful spot to sit out, relax, and enjoy the sunshine.
Pannett Apartment is also dog friendly, making it a fantastic choice for guests travelling with their four-legged companions. Whitby is a haven for dog walkers, with a wide selection of dog-friendly pubs and cafés to enjoy along the way. There are also sections of the beach that welcome dogs all year round, allowing for seaside strolls whatever the season. Just a short walk—less than five minutes—from the apartment, you can join the popular Cinder Track, a scenic walking and cycling route that links Whitby with Robin Hood’s Bay, Ravenscar, and Scarborough, offering miles of countryside and coastal exploration.
Whitby itself is a town rich in history, character, and coastal charm. Overlooking the town from the top of the cliffs, the striking ruins of Whitby Abbey provide an iconic backdrop and are famously linked to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. You can reach the abbey via the historic 199 steps, rewarded with breathtaking views across the town and sea. Whitby’s heritage is deeply rooted in its maritime past, once a thriving fishing port and the place where Captain James Cook learned his trade.
Today, visitors can explore this fascinating history through attractions such as the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and Whitby Museum, or simply wander the cobbled streets of the old town, filled with independent shops, galleries, and traditional eateries. The sandy beaches offer classic seaside enjoyment, from paddling and sandcastle building to fossil hunting along the Jurassic coastline.
Whether you’re drawn by its history, its stunning coastal scenery, or its welcoming atmosphere, Whitby offers something for everyone—making Number 3 at Pannett Apartments the perfect base for your seaside escape.
