This large farmhouse has lots of room where families can enjoy a great holiday together. Situated on a working farm, it is nonetheless very private, and has an enclosed, lawned area with a charcoal BBQ. To the front of the property are open views across farmland, where you can watch hares boxing in the early evening or catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the area. Beautifully equipped, the accommodation has been furnished to a very good standard, and wood burners lend it a real, homely feel. There are two living rooms, a master bedroom with an en-suite, and the family bathroom has a lovely slipper bath, together with ‘his and hers’ basins.
This location is perfect for exploring Yorkshire, with Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington all within a very short drive. Filey is the smallest of the three resorts and is renowned for its stunning beach stretching for 4 miles. Scarborough and Bridlington are much larger resorts with working harbours. Just 15 minutes’ drive away is the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs where you can observe puffins and gannets in their natural habitat perched on the chalk cliffs. There are plenty of educational activities for children to learn about the birds and enjoy some informative walks.
The city of York is just an hour away by car, or you can catch a direct train from Scarborough. Be sure to visit the majestic York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe. The city is a maze of little streets and squares where you will find independent shops, street entertainers and plenty of cafés and bars. The stately homes of Sledmere House, Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall are also close by and have beautiful gardens. Castle Howard is a little further away, but still easily accessible. With so much on the doorstep, Pasture House will be a great location for a memorable family holiday. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Superb holiday with all the family. All home comforts and more for the 5 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space in the garden for the games provided. We will be returning, says it all.

Absolutely wonderful home from home - and better! Everything you could possible need was supplied and good quality too. Brilliant for a large family group with lots of space for family time or a small lounge for peace and quiet. Garden brilliant for little children to play in and lots of okay equipment and games were also available. Our hosts were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Bedrooms all an excellent size and the main bathroom was really luxurious. Filey very close by and Bridlington and Whitby not too far. Bad weather prevented us from going to the beach although we did go for a look at Hunmanby Gap - just a few miles up the road and plenty of parking too. All in all a superb place to stay and we will definitely come back again.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, the best place we’ve stayed in, beautiful views from this well equipped, clean and spacious house. The kind gift of wine and lovely biscuits on our arrival was much appreciated. Perfect for a family get together.

As previous guests have said this house is pretty much faultless. We probably haven't stayed anywhere as nice as this and for this quality a hotel would have cost our party a lot more. After a drizzly day out it was great to come back, light the fire and relax. Thanks Liz

A wonderful property which we used for a family get together weekend. The accommodation is second to none. Spotlessly clean, with all the 'mod-cons' you could wish for. Set on a working farm, so close to Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. I would highly recommend this property which is very spacious and can easily accommodate the 8 people it can sleep. (I wish the house was mine!)
