Situated in the grounds of a former station house, with its elevated hill-top position, the views from this cottage are quite breathtaking. All on the ground floor, you will find a peaceful living room where you can grab a good book and take a seat on the comfy large leather sofa. At the opposite end of the cottage you’ll find the kitchen/dining room. The well-equipped kitchen boasts lovely units and all the usual mod cons. There are two double bedrooms both offering en-suite facilities, and one being zip and link. Railway Cottage is situated in the village of Longcliffe, a crossroads hamlet in the English county of Derbyshire. Directly situated for access to the High Peak Trail, which is a decommissioned, converted railway line, and is now a popular trail for cycling and walking. We spent a wonderful week at this cottage and it felt like home. Our two boys enjoyed playing football in the garden and checking on the tag poles. It is situated in a great location and we visited some beautiful sites and went on lots of walks. We will definitely return.

The cottage was extremely well appointed with every thing you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday. The location Is excellent for walking or cyclone or for just lazing about. The owners were very friendly and accommodating nothing was too much trouble and the welcome pack was the best we have ever had. We will almost certainly go again.

A very well equipped cottage which is cosy and comfortable. Ideally placed for exploring the High Peak Trail. The rooms are fairly small, apart from the kitchen diner which is superb.

Lounge area to small for cottage just a hall way. Bedrooms with no windows makes the rooms very enclosed. Twin beds not made up as a double as requested by phone. Electric fire did not work. Good points very clean, high quality finish, Kitchen very good.

Had a super weekend break at Railway Cottage. It was exactly as we expected - away from the madding crowds and peaceful. There are no local amenities but we had taken everything we needed with us, so this wasn't a problem for us. For us it was a great place to stay and we would definitely book again if we decided to revisit the area.
