Local farmers would bring their grains for milling and then take their produce home. Beautiful converted Mill, plenty of space, surprisingly warm, super comfy beds! Very clean, and kitchen cupboards well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful, peaceful location too. We really enjoyed our stay thank you 😊

Absolutely fabulous old Mill renovated to an exceptionally high standard whilst retaining its original charm, well furnished and well equipped property ideal for a family holiday, cannot fault it. The aga was an interesting addition, but thankfully Mary Berry in the form of her cook book was on hand and helped us get to grips with it pretty quickly :) The owner was also extremely helpful with advice and information. The Mill stands in a beautiful location, very quiet (except for the sheep) as we awoke one morning to observe the local farmer driving his 600 flock of sheep up the hill for shearing, dipping and separation! Whilst you feel remote, The market town of Oswestry is only five miles away, offering local amenities, shopping, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. A walk up Mynydd Lledrod the hill which overlooks the mill is well worth the effort as we got some stunning photos from the summit, but don't be fooled..it stands 1317 ft tall and is full of sheep! I'd highly recommend a visit to Powys Castle and its stunning gardens which was a great day out enjoyed by all the family. Also Llangollen where we went on the Steam train which travels 10 miles upstream through some delightful countryside following the River Dee to the town of Corwen and back, finishing off with a lovely meal in The Corn Mill. Lake Vyrnmy is about 20 miles away but is most definitely worth a day out, we would have returned for a second day had we had the time. Finally a visit to this area wouldn't be complete without a trip up to Llanrhaedr waterfalls which is only a 15-minute drive away. We loved this Mill and very much look forward to returning again.

Brilliant!!! It was perfect for a family get-together for 6 adults and 5 children. Beautiful well furnished accommodation. Quality bed linen and towels and lots of thoughtful little touches. There was also a dishwasher which we were very grateful for and more bathrooms than we expected from the listed facilities. The outside space was lovely and everything supplied for outside relaxing and dining. The full size Table Tennis in the barn was a huge success and a great supply of indoor games for all the family. Lots of lovely walks. Definitely want to go back again. Thank you for our stay in your beautiful Mill Jasmine.

We were a group of 10 (5 adults, 4 children and a dog) staying at the Mill for a week in the April school holidays and we all had a lovely time. The Mill is beautiful, full of character & spacious for a large group. Our children thoroughly enjoyed being able to run free in the grounds safely. Feels like a secluded location but Oswestry (local amenities) is only a short drive. Waterfall is worth a visit & also Llangollen with the Horseshow Falls, railway & a nice pub called The Corn Mill. Would also recommend visiting Llanarmon which you can use as a base for some nice walks followed by some very good food at The Hand (pies are delicious).

We rented the Mill for a weekend. the location is convenient, remote enough to be quiet but close to Oswestry if required. We were a party of eleven over three generations and the accommodation was suitable for our needs. There is plenty of stunning open countryside, and the children were able to explore, with paths and lanes running from the cottage. We did struggle with cooking times on the Aga, but who cares when you are on holiday? There would be plenty to keep occupied on a longer visit, but we fully enjoyed our weekend at the Mill.

Wonderful property in a beautiful secluded location. If you're looking to get away from it all then this certainly fits the bill. The Mill itself oozes character but has been very tastefully modernised to retain that feeling whilst providing good facilities. We stayed for around a week and had various friends/family come and stay at differing times. All fit in with room to spare. The owner was very attentive before and during our stay. Waterfall nearby is worth a visit and Llangollen makes a nice day out. Oswestry is approx 5 miles away and has everything you'll need (e.g., supermarkets.) Top tip: turn-off your sat nav... they have no idea about Welsh back lanes!

We loved staying at the Mill, we were amazed that the owners had thought of everything. Lots to keep the children entertained, great to be able to open the door and have them run free, safely. There are no amenities right on your doorstep and that’s exactly what we were looking for. A couple of our group walked into Oswestry, perfectly doable. We visited the local waterfall @ 240ft - highest in England & Wales. Climb up - it’s Beautiful! We only stayed for a short while but loved the Aga cooking. If you’ve not used before, just be aware that using the top plates takes heat from the ovens.... we learnt this after our Sunday lunch took a little while. All great fun though. We even played ping pong late in the evening at the end of November. Not bad. We don’t often return to the same place but we may do here, too many beautiful valleys to explore. Thank you.

Really enjoyed the break. Perfect for a big family get together. Lovely homely kitchen which was perfect to all sit around and eat, drink and be merry! We visited in November so made great use of the wood burner and would love to visit again in the spring/summer months. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area and perfect location for our dogs who loved the large garden area. Highly recommended!
