Very lovely property in a great location with plenty to do around the area. The only downsides we found was the shower was in need of repair as you can see its been leaking for a while as the wood around the outside was mouldy along with the silicone coming away inside to reveal more mould. The gate which allows you entry to the property was very awkward to open as it gets stuck but was surprised other people had mentioned this but nothing has been done yet to rectify. The main door can be temperamental at times to open as the only way to open this, is with a key which my wife found nearly impossible. Apart from this we had a great time and are already thinking of coming back to the property next year for another break.

This was an absolutely fabulous little place to stay. The only (very slight) criticism I have, is that it is on quite a busy main route through the village so there’s a bit of traffic noise, however this has its plus side as it is literally next door to a Chinese takeaway, and opposite a pub. The place is spotless and better equipped than my actual home. Every little detail has been thought of to make your stay perfect. Would highly recommend. ?

Good location for town and walking the dog. The cottage was clean, tidy and well equipped but only disadvantages was it was on the main road lots of traffic noise, the other was that the door sticks when The Sun is on its very hard to open.

Lovely cottage handy for visiting relatives. Good pub across the road and good Chinese takeaway. Had some problems with hot water and shower temperatures, not much headroom in bedroom due to low beams, and no wardrobe. Other wise everything else was fine would come again.

We had a fantastic week at Robins nest. In a fab location to local pubs and local attractions. It felt very homely and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Stunning cottage modernised to an extremely high standard, very stylish yet practical. I stayed for a long weekend with my partner Alison and my elderly mother (and my dog Winston). It was an ideal location to explore Edwinstowe and Sherwood Forest. It’s literally over the road from a nice looking pub, which unfortunately isn’t dog friendly - however 2 others just 5 minutes walk into the village are. The layout was ideal, Alison and I slept upstairs, in the open hay loft style double bedroom, whilst Mam slept downstairs. The bathroom is also on the ground floor, along with a stunning open plan lounge and kitchen. This meant Mam didn’t need to leave the ground floor. There is a small step to the lounge on the ground floor, which could be an issue for wheelchair users, but for anyone staying with someone with reasonable mobility like us, it was perfect. Edwinstowe itself is a great place for walkers, so Alison and I are planning to visit again with Winston to explore a bit more. Highly recommended.

We found Robins Nest a comfortable and cosy cottage for our visit to Nottingham and could not fault the facilities. Everything was very clean and a lot of thought had been put into providing co-ordinated and simple to operate appliances. The village is a 10min walk from the property and the shops include a Co-op, cafe, butcher, baker and greengrocer.
