Very well equipped and clean kitchen. Cyclists were happy with the large bike storage. Teenagers were happy with the game room and the loft space in the bedroom. Very handy location to visit both Whitby and Scarborough and secluded from the hustle and bustle. We would like to come and stay in their larger cottage in the future.

Fantastic little cottage. With easy reach to lots of lovely places. Well equipped and very cosy. Lovely big bed too. Hope to visit again

Fabulous! Lovely cosy cottage with everything you could need. Decorated beautifully and very clean. We had 2 dogs as well and it was safe and secure for them to be let out when needed. Easy to get to all the local walks and villages. View from the front is fantastic, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. So peaceful and quiet.

Lovely cottage in quiet location but drivable to many ideal spots. Very clean and comfortable, generous welcome pack was much appreciated. Tall member(6' 3") of our party had a sore head by the end from hitting low lights and was only comfy on the sofa, but lovely for the other 2 of us! Great views and once the fire was going very cosy. We'd definitely return and recommend.

Rudda cottage was quiet and was very well equipped. Comfy bed and recliner chairs in lounge.Lots of lovely walks for the dogs. There was games outside under cover with lighting to play. The cottage was really warm we didn't need to use the wood fire.Turn left out the cottage then left again follow it straight up past the b and b and on the left is a free car park and your on the moors5 mins drive.Carry straight on past this car park all the way to the end is the paying car park with a honesty box. From here there is 2 walks and a beach. But there is alot of steps down and up for the walks.Turn right out the cottage to top of the road and and right again past the pub turn right then the next left will take you to a lovely wooden area with lots of walking routes. If you carry straight on past the woods on the right you will come to a jet garage and shop.Carry on past this on the left youl come to a sign for Robin hood's bay worth the visit. If you carry on past this sign you come to Sainsburys,Aldi and a BNM stores and garage. Then if you carry on past here you come to Whitby. The biscuits and milk and bottle of prossecco was nice. The jars are also full with tea coffee and sugar. We would defiantly think about going back again.

Well equipped, cosy and clean! What else do you need for a few days away!

An idyllic cottage on the Yorkshire moors coast between Whitby and Scarborough. While the village of Staintonbridge had few amenities, the location of the cottage was delightful for a get-away from it all break. We spent four days there and while enjoying the wonderful in-home facilities of Rudda Cottage we were in easy reach of Whitby and the bleak moors. We were close too to Cloughton with the brilliant Blacksmith Arms - one of our best lunches on our trip. We would recommend the Cottage to any family wanting an away from it all break with all mod cons.

The cottage was delightful and perfect for our stay- comfortable and very clean, well equipped and quiet! There was no wood when we arrived but was delivered to us within 30 minutes of our phone call- excellent! Would highly recommend this cottage

Very nice place everything you need in the cottage

Lovely cottage, everything you need, really well equipped. With lovely views across the countryside with the sea in the distance. Just couldn't really walk to the local pub because no pavement on the roadside, and didn't feel safe to walk on the road.

We hope to book this Cottage next year. The only downside was no instructions for electronic cooker. But my friend worked it out.

Lovely well equipped clean cottage. Towel and bedding of good quality. An ideal cottage for anyone with a dog. Welcome pack was much appreciated. My only niggle would be that I would have preferred some carpeting for comfort instead of hard flooring . Need to travel a few miles for amenities but there are a few good pubs for meals within easy access.

    out of 10

We found the cottage had a comfortable lounge and large bedroom with comfortable bed and an en suite bathroom, the kitchen was well stocked but only has a small worktop fridge. The heating takes some working out as some radiators work off the timer in the kitchen and some off the oil fired heating, The only problem we found was that there is a light on 24 hours in the hallway by the bedroom door that is quite bright and the light shows through the bedroom door in the night which affected our sleeping. Overall a good cottage in a quiet location, small lawned front garden secure and fine for dogs and good pub for food a mile away. Would consider booking again if light situation could be sorted.

Rudda Farm Cottage would have been a 10 a couple of years ago but somethings are now a little run down,we couldn't open the front door properly which we reported and nobody came out, it was important as the dog needs to go outside and also reported light outside the back door same response. Its was a good location for a lovely quiet holiday also page taken out of the visitors book which is unusual. I would recommend the Falcon inn for food excellent only a mile away.

Not worthy of 4 star cottage was dirty on arrival day spent sorting out but ruined holiday returned early even the towels smelt of farmyard would try some comfort
