At the aptly named Sea View Sanctuary you have unbeatable views; from the comfort of the open plan living room, you can see all the way down the coastline.
The horizon stretches between the castle perched atop the cliffs all the way to Scalby Ness with the golden beach arching in a glorious crescent in between. Whilst watching the world go by, watch out for surfers riding the waves as well as paddle boarders on tranquil days. You can point out the attractions you would like to visit, including the Alpamare waterpark and the Sealife Centre, all within walking distance. The sea is tantalisingly close, inviting you out to feel the sand between your toes in the sunshine, or on a stormy day watch in awe as the powerful waves crash and roar. Look out for the incredible sights of Minke Whales and Dolphins who are regular visitors to the North bay.
The open plan living area is an ideal space for socialising, here in this bright and spacious room you have the dining area as well as the living area taking in the sights. You will find a modern kitchen, where you can create meals to enjoy together, perhaps using freshly caught local seafood. From the dining table you can have a candlelit meal watching illuminated fishing boats venturing out after the sun has set. The bathroom is fitted with a beautiful rainforest Shower.
This is an ideal choice for families as well as couples looking for a romantic break away. Within minutes, guests can be sitting on the beach or paddling in the sea, and there are plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants within close proximity. There is a choice of two bays to explore; the North Bay which the apartment overlooks is much quieter, with a long promenade to stroll along, and at the end the guests will reach the Sea Life Centre. The South Bay has all the hustle and bustle of a traditional seaside resort, with donkeys, amusements, and pleasure steamers, including the famous pirate ship.
There is also a surf school where you can hire surf boards and paddle boards, as well as having lessons. Scarborough also has a 12th Century castle just a short stroll away, with many events around the year. The town of Scarborough has much to offer in the form of the Rotunda Museum, the art gallery, the famous Scarborough Spa, Peasholm Park with oriental gardens and boating lake, Alpamare water park and spa, as well as one of the largest open-air theatres in Europe.
There is something for everyone. Further down the coast you have the neighbouring coastal destinations of Bridlington, Filey, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Flamborough and Bempton to discover, or inland you have the wonderful North York Moors to explore, with moorland and ancient woodlands with miles of walking and cycling trails. Through all the seasons this is a great destination, beach 100 yards.
