We had the most wonderful time. There are no neighbours just peace/quiet and beautiful scenery. The cottage is literally on the beach and there are many walks in the local area. We saw many different types of birds. We saw seals when we drove around the area along the coastline. Inside the cottage is decorated beautifully and has a log burner. When we went to bed at night we opened the windows so that we could hear the sea lapping at the shore (even in December/January). Our dogs loved it most of all. The cottage was exactly as advertised - only better. This cottage would be great for kayaking. It honestly was heavenly!

We had a terrific week at Shore Cottage. The owners have put a lot of care into making this a practical and attractive cottage and the location is just great - right next to the sea but sheltered. The nearby Castle Hotel is good for a high quality extravagance on a nice meal, a 10 minute walk away. We couldn't fault anything but be aware that the track that leads to the house is not suitable for sports cars but fine for your average saloon.

Excellent place to stay, great for dog, cottage in a secluded area with a good variety of wildlife, but with a big downside. DOWNSIDE is the very big hotel nearby, second day we were there the hotel informed us that they had a big wedding on Friday with FIREWORKS? (supposed to be dog friendly?) what they also didn't say is that they were setting fireworks off on the causeway very near cottage NOT UP AT HOTEL! and that the fireworks were air bomb rockets for 20 minutes!!!!! this spoilt the whole holiday as dog was terrified, also extremely nervous afterwards at any little noise for the remainder of holiday, anyone who has dogs will understand. The next day was also like a tourist beach with dozens of guests from hotel descending on the causeway and shore, shouting and generally being very intrusive all around the cottage area, very little peace and quiet, we decided to go out that day. We've stayed in and around this area many, many times before, but first time and last at this cottage i'm sad to say, shame really as it could have been a nice peaceful holiday.

Lovely cottage in an idyllic location. However, the dirt road to the cottage is quite challenging and with a car with runflat tyres quite uncomfortable! I had booked the cottage because it was one level due to mobility issues so the low level of the sofas was really difficult on my knees. It is because of this I would not re-book the cottage.

Lovely, quiet secluded cottage ideally located for kayaking. Under- floor heating very comfortable. We saw otter and seal. A very relaxed location we would definitely recommend it.
