Beautiful barn tastefully decorated. Off the beaten track but close to Burrator Walks and Dartmoor. Dog friendly and owners close by

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was one of the best appointed cottages we have ever stayed in. We really appreciated the warm welcome, bread, milk, homemade jam and eggs to start us off. Jet our dog was also welcomed with treats and dog bowl. We had everything we could wish for during our stay and the owners were just next door in case of need but left us to ourselves to enjoy our visit. Would highly recommend this cottage and would have no hesitation in saying we would definitely return if visiting this area of Devon.

We had a lovely break at Southlake Barn and enjoyed some great local walks with the dogs (2 border collies) whilst staying. The Barn has everything you would want; a welcome pack met us on arrival comprising of local produce, much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. As soon as you enter the accommodation the everyday stresses melt away, very welcoming and very cosy with the log fire, the barn is well equipped and everything is very clean and well thought out; we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The decking area is great for sit out and a relax taking in the surroundings with a cuppa or a nice glass of something. We would definitely book again. Thank you, we had a great time.

Beautiful converted barn in a stunning location. Property was clean and comfortable with all home comforts provided. Owner, Melanie was very polite and helpful. Would highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage which was wonderfully well equipped and a true home from home, complete with helpful welcome pack of milk, bread and marmalade. Lots to do nearby, with the walk around Burrator reservoir a must (stopping off at the ice cream van at the dam of course). Balcony was a great place to sit, read and “bunny-spot”. Wonderfully relaxing, we loved it.

Comfortable, cosy and well kitted out cottage. From the driveway, cross the road, enter a gate and you are in countryside and walking over moorland or wooded tracks to the reservoir. 15 minute walk to Royal Oak pub which is a olde world country pub or less than 10 mins and your at the Burrator pub which is a family friendly local type pub. 5 minute drive to Yelverton for a well stocked super market and a great Butcher. With Southlake you are on the doorstep to Dartmoor countryside but still have pubs and shops at close call.
