    This fabulous detached property was renovated and refurbished to provide excellent self catering facilities, in a luxurious environment. Stables has four twin bedrooms and three bathrooms and enjoys beautiful views to Skiddaw from its peaceful and slightly elevated position, on the edge of Braithwaite village. The village has pubs, restaurants and a shop and there are walks from the door through woodland and onto Whinlatter Forest and the surrounding fells.

    It's the fifth or sixth time we've stayed at Stables. We love the place, although it could be a tad less expensive, if I'm frank.

    The place was large enough for our family of 8. Comfortable and cozy, although we would have preferred queen sized beds instead of two single ones. Kitchen well equipped. Overall, very nice.

    This is our second visit to the Stables and I would highly recommend it. We were a party of young children, grandmother and a variety of ages in between and it catered for all our needs. An excellent place to stay. Thanks. Gail

    Hi Upstairs shower could be better (more powerful). Also kettle temperamental - make drinks for breakfast, then won't stay on for walking flasks). These are minor issues
