Great location for train enthusiasts. Unfortunately we felt the house and grounds were a bit run down and need a bit of tlc. Stained carpets, blocked drains, overgrown garden. Hot water/ bathroom facilities not really suitable for 6 people.

A wonderful place to stay. We had a lovely week here with our four children. The house itself is lovely and the area surrounding it is beautiful. We absolutely enjoyed our time here.

Fabulous place. It's just a shame that people write such nice things in their guest book at the property and there's only a few, mainly negative things, written online. Its a nice big station cottage in a perfect rural location. To be able to see stream trains pass by from your bedroom window would be a dream come true for so many people. The owners were very nice and did everything they could to make it a pleasant stay for us. Would recommend for train enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys staying somewhere with a riverside 200 metres away.

Was very disappointed with the badly stained carpet, bedding and table cloths and unable to use the garden due to lots of dog/cat mess. The description of an en suite in main bedroom is quiet misleading as it is only a very small toilet and hand basin. The location was perfect for the trains and we found that many of the places we visited were very dog friendly' The cottage was very well equipped.
