    Staveley is a great place to stay, loads of walks on the doorstep, a good bakery and beer hall. It has good bus and train links to other great spots in the Lakes too. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Well equipped but kitchen pans rather oversized for two people, but great place to stay and dog friendly.

    A great place to stay. Handy for the local amenities which include Hawkshead Brewery, Wilfred Cafe, More artisan bakery and the Eagle and Child Pub not to mention a local butcher, a small convenience store and two coffee shops. Right on the doorstep are nice walks and it is really handy for Kendal, Windemere etc.

    We had a very comfortable and enjoyable week's stay, with the added bonus of great weather. Well situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, this is a great apartment for a self-catering holiday. We will be back!
