For avid gardeners, a visit to the Old Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston and Hoveton Estate is a must, and golfers won’t be disappointed with the the Royal Norwich Golf Course, or clifftop course at Sheringham and the golf club in Mundesley, both nearby.
National Trust properties in the vicinity include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Horsey Windpump. Visit Horsey Beach between December and February for your chance to spot hundreds of grey seals and pups along the shore. Alternatively, the historical city of Norwich, 20 miles, boasts a theatre, two indoor shopping malls, a market square, cafés, restaurants (including fine dining), the castle museum, a cathedral and art galleries. Excellent walking, cycling, bird watching and sea fishing are all available locally. Beach 200 yards. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 350 yards.
