Guests also have use of a seasonal indoor swimming pool, available from April to October, ideal for a dip before dinner.
Inside, the rooms are laid out on one level and feel bright and welcoming. The sitting room has comfortable seating and opens out towards a shared play area, handy if you are travelling with children. A separate kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, and there is space to enjoy unhurried breakfasts before setting off. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin, provide flexible sleeping arrangements, and the family bathroom has a shower over the bath. A cot can be requested when booking.
Outside, there is off-road parking and secure undercover storage for bikes and outdoor kit, including boards and roof boxes, plus barbecues are available on request. From here you can explore both Devon and Cornwall, with seaside favourites such as Westward Ho!, Instow and Clovelly an easy drive away, and boat trips to Lundy leaving from nearby harbours. When you fancy a change of scenery, the wide landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor are close enough for a day out on the moor.
