Just a short walk to the landing stage for ferry trips to Lakeside where there is the fascinating Aquarium of the Lakes and delightful Haverthwaite to Lakeside Steam Railway. Activities in the area include water sports climbing fell walking and cycling.     Great central location with restaurants shops and short walk to beautiful lake Windermere. Bowness-on-Windermere has everything! Strawberries and Cream - flat above shops was small and a little tired. (Tourist information book was dated 2016) Bathroom blind was very dirty and did not work. Sofa has seen better days.

    We have stayed here a few years ago and love the location. The only negatives are - no wifi and the extractor fan hood above the oven was glass and a bit too low, so had to be careful not to bang your head.

    Comfortable place to stay but too many internal doors! No wifi and difficult to find how to park and how to get in on arrival. Just not easy but once in, it's great. Location can't be beat. Thanks for good holiday

    A lovely apartment in the heart of the village with many excellent restaurants and bars nearby. Owners are friendly and helpful and the cleanliness is very good. Definitely somewhere I will stay again.
