The interior of The Barn has been thoughtfully designed with beautiful stone floors and a cosy woodburner and outside there is a private hot tub. Set in a convenient location it is within walking distance of the locally run pub and a short drive away from the visitor attractions of Ludlow with its castle and racecourse Bridgnorth Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Also worth visiting are the River Severn famous for its tidal bore the River Teme and the Severn Valley Railway. Other local attractions include Rays Farm the inland funicular railway and Daniels Mill. This is an ideal touring base for people wishing to explore Shropshire and Herefordshire as well as the mid Wales borderlands. I nice location to relax and unwind.

We were greeted and welcomed and shown around. The cottage is next door to where the owners live, which helps if there is a problem or you need information. This is not a working farm. Access to the cottage from the main road is via an unmade potholed track. The layout inside is a bit curious, but we found it OK. The galley kitchen can be a bit of a scrum if more than one person is in there as it is also the passage to both bedrooms. One bedroom has an on-suite but the other bedroom has a bathroom accessed through the kitchen. We found this shower tended to be a bit cool. Weirdly this one is electric but the other one was off the mains and worked very well. One thing that needs to be realised is that entering the cottage is via a step which is quite high and someone with mobility issues may find this a problem. Overall it was comfortable and worked well for the four of us.

A lovely cottage in a lovely area. Central for most of the major attractions in the Shropshire area that we wanted to visit, although away from the hustle and bustle.

Lovely place. A bit isolated but not to bad. Place was spotless and very comfortable

A very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Excellent location for many of the attractions in Shropshire. Nigel and Vicky very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay and lovely owners. Only one small point was that the bedding in both rooms was a bit musty as if not aired and they need new pillows. Apart from that place was fabulous and the hot tub was excellent. We would stay again.

great place to stay but could do with some tlc.

The cottage is clean and spacious. Vicky and Nigel were very helpful and welcome gifts were great. The hot tub was a excellent way of relaxing and unwinding after a day of sight seeing with a glass of wine or beer. Very pet friendly with walks around area. Local pub the pheasant a short walk away offered a range of food and drink.

Really enjoyed our time at the barn, very relaxing having the use of the hot tub and sitting out in the garden having a barbie, the owners are lovely and very welcoming and there is so much to see and do around shropshire and to visit, highly recommend.

A lovely barn in a quiet hamlet, it really does have everything you need. The Pheasant pub is really nice and very friendly and welcomed the dogs. Great food. Vicky and Nigel cannot do enough for you, welcome wine and biscuits was a fabulous touch, hot tub is great. I would suggest taking additional towels though. Out and about, I would recommend the Victorian Town, Ironbridge, Bridgnorth and there’s loads of walks. Only tiny issue is due to the rural location the wi-fi is a bit hit and miss. We will definitely be back

A lovely cottage in a stunning location. The cottage is very spacious, but it really needs upgrading (particularly the kitchen and the showers).

    out of 10

The barn was a nice property but a week was possibly too long the sofa's were not comfortable although the rest of the property was ok. The hot tub and wood burner were a nice touch though. It might be useful for the owners to spend a few days in the holiday let and find out what is in need of care or upgrade. The owners were very pleasant and the welcome gift and eggs were lovely

Fantastic cottage lovely welcome great place to go walking. Great pub up the road for food and drinks. Nice quiet place but not to far from bridgenorth and ludlow
