The Cart Shed was a lovely place to relax, very nicely designed and comfortable. The contained garden was great for our dog. We hope to return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cosy and well equipped accomodation.

Quite possibly one of the best cottages that I have stayed in, being both light and airy but still warm and cosy. The cottage enjoys a rural feel and views over the surrounding countryside whilst only being a very short walk from the amenities offered in the town. The location was ideal for heading in to the Cities and towns around the north east with access to the main link roads only a short drive away. Despite the rural feel, there was access to supermarkets and the other high street shops within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Dog walks are a key requirement for us and there are excellent short walks just outside the main entrance and indeed much longer countryside walks all easily accessed on foot directly from the cottage. We were also fortunate enough to have some very clear nights which made the most of the hot tub. With very little light pollution from the town, it was very relaxing sitting in the hot tub just gazing up to the starry sky overhead. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at The Cart Shed.

Amazing place to stay, we all loved it. We took my disabled mum and was excellent as all on the flat and walk in showers were excellent. Hot tub was the cherry on the cake.

We had the most amazing relaxing week away at the cart shed. Our accommodation was fabulous all we needed and more, beautiful views, walks and quiet. Not too far to travel into Durham by car and to explore lots of the North East. Would recommend The Cart Shed to everyone.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location. Despite us both being quite unwell, it was a great place to stay not least as there were plently local amenities with a large shopping centre only 3 miles or so away plus the Traveller's Rest in Witton Gilbert offering great food options if it all became too much!!! We will be heading back when hopefully in full health can enjoy the proximity of great cycling routes and walking.
