We spent a wonderful fortnight staying in the Coach House. Its location is quiet and peaceful, and the owners made us feel very welcome. The house is very spacious and comfortable, and Alford (which is a mile or so away) has good amenities. The Coach House was a great base from which to see this lovely part of Scotland. There are many castles within easy reach, and the area is great for walking and wildlife. We particularly liked Bennachie, the summits of which can be seen from the Coach House. We would definitely stay here again when visiting this part of Scotland.

Charming hosts, all 3 of them! The cottage is peaceful and spacious and well situated for places of interest. Loved the burn beside the cottage. The beds and bed linen were possibly the best we had experienced. Two very good eating places in Alford and a well stocked Co-op with helpful staff!

The seven of us and two dogs stayed over the Christmas period. Beautiful location and accommodation. Surrounded by breathtaking views. The house is spacious, with a modern look whilst in keeping with its surroundings. An open log fire in the sitting room is excellent for the colder evenings. You are greated upon arrival by Doug (& Mandy) who are very welcoming and the perfect hosts. The house has a “home from home” feel with a fully equipped kitchen. The house is situated at the end of a private track, ideal for walks. Alford is a short drive or a good walk to the local shops (Co op) and town. The Alford Bistro offers lovely meals, coffee, tea & cake. Overall The Coach House is an excellent accommodation and we would highly recommend and happily stay there again.

Beautiful peaceful cottage, situated with no through traffic at the end of a farm road. The house is very spacious, with a lot of modern facilities but still retaining its character. Short journey to local shops and plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. Nice to relax in front of an open log fire in the evening. The owners are very helpful with local knowledge (especially Mandy) and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely come back to this cottage just because of the amazing Mandy and her beautiful dog Ben who came to visit us every day and seems to love everybody. It was a pleasure to stay in their former home. Highly recommend for those wanting a restful respite from town or city life.
