I would not recommend this property. It is poorly maintained and not sufficiently well cleaned.

We keep returning to this cottage because it feels like our 2nd home. We love the natural garden which is a haven for wildlife, and the cottage itself has everything we need and is in the perfect location to relax and unwind, within a short distance of the most glorious coastline and nature reserve. Our dogs love it too.

Had a fantastic few days vacation at the cottage for our second visit. Very close to beach for lovely long walks with our labrador. Cottage clean tidy and recommend it for people who like to go dog walking. Hope to visit again soon.

A tad isolated. Cosy and warm. You need a car. Great area.

Next time I would look on Google Maps to see where exact a location is. The cottage itself is lovely, has a nice backview over the fields and has a secluded backgarden. That is why you don't see the neighbourhood around it. That is a modern neighbourhood, clean and neat but one would't expect this. The back part of the cottage isn't compliable with the rest, the main part is quite nice and cosy with wooden floor, nice furniture and so on. The back part has a modern shower and a not very cosy scullery with fabric floor tiles where the dining table is. The lamp in the back shower was filled with dead insects and it was not clean alongside teh wall. When a towel fell on the floor it was all fluffy with dust. So a few tips: clean it better, also the details. And make a wooden floor in the scullery and the same kitchen cabinets as in the main kitchen. Than it'll look nicer. St.Cyrus itself has a beautiful coastline and beach, a nice tearoom but not a nice restaurant/hotel. We arrived in the evening and went by foot to the hotels where one could have a meal. We arrived 20.15 but the kitchen closed at 20.30 so no hot meal for us after a long drive. Luckily the small general store was open and had sandwiches.

Absolutely loved this quirky little cottage. Could not find anything to complain about. It was very clean and comfortable and felt very homely. The garden was very natural with the daffodils and bluebells in full bloom and a beautiful view over the fields. The bathrooms were clean, large and supplied with plenty of towels. The dual aspect bedroom was light and bright as was the same in the living room. The kitchen area well equipped. We especially loved the wood burner. A real heart to the cottage. Would most definitely recommend to all for a perfect get away. Can not wait to visit again.

Been visiting this cottage for the past 6 years and have enjoyed every time. Love the natural garden and homely cottage. We always find it peaceful and relaxing.

The cottage was very cosy. The beach a 10min drive but well worth it. Lovely cottage if you are just wanting to relax and take a step back in time. Brought back a lot of memories. Xx

After travelling for 4 hours I arrived to an unclean property. Basic cleaning had not taken place I Had to bleach wash all mugs, cutlery was coated in grease. The heating which made noises all the time only one radiator worked in a living room where a stone chimney breast stopped you getting the benefit of this. Noise was horrendous and continuous so much so I woke with a migraine at 4am. I left the property the next day. The pity was had the owner spent some money on improvements this may have been not so bad. I doubt anything has been done to update this property for many years. I am getting a refund but the stress of it all was something I didn't want, wanted a break...…...

The outside grounds very untidy. The heating system very noisy through the night. The seating in the lounge very uncomfortable.

Beach was ideal. Good places to visit up the coast. Very cosy cottage.

We went for 5 nights to The Cottage and as it was in January, we got an excellent deal. There were many extra touches there which we didn't expect such as flannels, soap, mustard, salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee, marmite, many of which we didn't actually use. Washing powder was also provided for the washing machine, though we didn't use that either. The only complaint was that the radiators probably need bleeding as some of them didn't appear to get hot and they made a dreadful noise all the time, almost as if someone was banging around. Other than that we were extremely happy and could have stayed a lot longer.

The cottage is an old rustic property with very few modern conveniences we weren’t looking for anything modern or surgically clean because of our 2 dogs. It met our expectations perfectly & totally satisfied us all !! Would highly recommend but one draw back is gardens are not secure at all for dogs!
