Just returned from a wonderful family birthday celebration in The Cottage. It was perfect for 10 of us as the kitchen, dining room and lounge (loved the log burner) were easily big enough for when we were together, it had multiple bathrooms, good sized bedrooms (really comfy beds), most with amazing sea views and a well equipped playroom which my 2 year old grandson loved. We had a great time in the hot tub and enjoyed drinks on the huge balcony. We had planned to walk to a restaurant for my birthday meal but it was too far away so needed to drive. Brilliantly situated for clifftop walks with stunning views. Some parts of the house could do with a lick of paint but it was clean and comfortable so this definitely wouldn't prevent us from returning. X

Perfect place for my husband’s surprise 40th birthday - great views, loved the hot tub and cosy dining room and fab lounge.

Great cottage in an excellent location. Easy to walk to pubs and local shops and the beach. Very well equipped although a bigger/second fridge would have been handy as we were a party of 12. Great size dining room and cosy living room with nice log burner. Would recommend this cottage for families or groups of friends.

Based on our family Christmas spent at The Cottage, it was perfect for our needs. Youngest 3 and oldest 80, plus 3 dogs! Obviously the steps were hard work but manageable.

We had a wonderful pre-Christmas long weekend at The Cottage. A gorgeous old house with verandas on each level and beautiful views out to the sea and all the way to France. Lovely big bedrooms all with sofas or chairs and lots of bathroom space. The sitting room has huge comfy settees just right to curl up on in front of the open fireplace. Christmas decorations had been put up complete with twinkling tree. The ground floor is on different levels with quaint steps and corridors leading to each room. It's a lovely home to relax with friend and family. From the house there is a 10 minute steep walk to and from the beach and lovely walks along the the top of the White Cliffs. We loved it.

Big house in great location with views to the French coast. Local pub, shop and cliff walks available on foot. Cliff top location means it gets the wind and it was very cold the first night (in November) - we’ve fed this back to the owner as heating needs to be on for a few hours if property was empty before. Wood burner was very welcome! State of property was a bit variable. Clean and smart bathrooms but kitchen has old wooden furniture and toasters balanced on top of freezers etc so it feels quite basic. Comfortable beds and nice bedrooms. Garden a good size but a little abandoned (flooded BBQs and plastic toys littered around). Summary is a big, comfortable period property in a great location, but might be cold in winter and possibly some TLC needed.
