Enjoyed our holiday in this characterful cottage. It was in a stunning location overlooking the town. Lovely big rooms and beautiful dog friendly garden. Received a lovely welcome from the owner who also left delicious goodies. It's quite a steep walk to and from town so we just took it easy. Plenty free parking in town if you use your car. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

We loved our week at The Croft. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The outside seating area had exceptional views and was a real sun trap, the enclosed garden was ideal for our dog and indeed for a football loving child to play in. Our host Cathy was very friendly and welcoming and left a yummy welcoming basket of goodies. Rothbury is a lovely place with plenty of pubs and restaurants which are both child and dog friendly. Cragside is a fab place to visit and there is plenty of things to keep everyone interested. As a national trust member we visited several times during our stay. We will be back again.

Lovely views; quiet; great access on foot to both moor/countryside and village; good quality bedding; lovely bedrooms; clean sinks, toilets; friendly very helpful owner who welcomed dog too. Lots of extras - bubble bath and other toiletries, dog poo bags, maps and books , games and books. Great area- friendly people Kitchen small and needs updating; not all the crockery and pans had been checked for cleanliness.

The Croft is a very warm and comfy house and we immediately felt at home there. It is in a very peaceful setting with beautiful views. There are a number of lovely walks from the front door and it’s only a short walk to the village. It is a perfect base for exploring further afield. The house is spacious and was equipped with everything we could have needed. There are many books, DVDs and games to enjoy. Cathy was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed the treats in the welcome pack. Should we visit the North East again, we wouldn’t considering booking anywhere else.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Only reason we marked it down slightly on location is because we prefer the coast. However we would definitely return and Cathy the owner, was very accommodating.

We had a fabulous time. The Croft was so warm and cosy and comfortable. Cathy the owner was a delight- very welcoming. She even had a little pack of Halloween goodies prepared which thrilled our 8 year old beyond measure. By the end of the first evening we already had decided that when we return to Rothbury we will definitely return to The Croft.
