The property has a Rayburn which means that it is always cosy and welcoming and you can enjoy relaxing meals in the farmhouse kitchen. The lovely light and lofty living room with its wood burner at one end and library at the other or the sheltered suntrap patio are ideal places to relax in. This is an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating area with exhilarating walks in the surrounding farm and woodland. The Granary is also the home of an equine and canine stunt team Les Amis D’Onno who create extraordinary theatre all around the country. They offer a host of activities for cottage guests from dog training to tailor-made photo shoots by arrangement. Jedburgh 2 miles has good pubs and restaurants and along with Melrose and Kelso has lots of historical interest and several great houses to visit. Take the train to Edinburgh from Tweedbank for a hassle-free day in the city. Shop pub and restaurant 2 miles. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/133/840/1336853.jpg UK5324

We stayed at the Granary at really short notice..(an hour!) after the cottage we were originally booked into wasnt acceptable and we asked to be moved. They were fantastic, getting it ready and warm for us in such a short time span. The cottage itself is up a long single track road, you do have dog kennels further down and could hear barking at times, it didnt bother me as it wasnt constant or loud. The Granary is an upside cottage with a cosy country kitchen with an aga..I used it to make homemade bread! The beds are comfy and clean. Upstairs the main room has a large wood burner which was lovely and warm in December. Comfy sofa and chairs and a library section on one side of the room. We loved our stay here, it was so peaceful that we didnt really venture out much, we even had a goat come and visit our garden one morning. I recommend the Granary Cottage, we would stay here again.

A disaster except for 2 hours on one day when the dogs in the boarding kennel situated 100 yards from the cottage and not mentioned in the details, were not barking

Lovely cottage up a slightly rough farm road. Lovely views and a wonderful woodburner. Perfect house for taking the dog.

Great place for a holiday, absolutely loved our stay as did our dogs. Beautiful house, complete with a library and rocking chair. Can’t wait to return.

The cottage is great but 10 coat hangers for a cottage for 6 is poor. The crockery needs a good going over and all the cracked/chipped stuff throwing away. Be aware your dogs are expected to stay in the kitchen. If you are a hiker down load Core paths before you go as there is little to find in the cottage or the local village.
