Situated in a wonderful location, The Hays enjoys stunning views over the Cleddau Estuary, the perfect spot for couples looking to get away, unwind and relax in this superb area. Enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine whilst watching the comings and goings of the boats on the waterway. With this elevated position, you can also take in the stunning sunrise, sunsets and the everchanging tides. There is a restaurant just a 10-minute stroll away which offers great food, and has a large garden reaching the foreshore where you can enjoy some locally brewed ales. In the summer season, it also has a floating pontoon which is ideal for crabbing, or meander across the shingle beach and take your kayak out on the estuary. Cyclists can take the Brunel Trail which starts in Neyland (once the western terminus of Brunel’s Great Western Railway) and links the picturesque Neyland Marina to Johnston and Haverfordwest, via Westfield Pill Nature Reserve a short cycle ride away.
This charming annexe, attached to the owner’s home, offers guests lovingly furnished accommodation. All on the ground floor, there is living room with a cosy flame effect fire, perfect to relax infront of after a busy day, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a lovely home cooked meal. The master bedroom has been tastefully decorated, and the bathroom has a shower over bath. Outside, guests can enjoy their own private garden to sit and relax, and enjoy those picture postcard views.
A 10-minute drive takes you to the historic town of Pembroke. Its castle is famous for being the birthplace of Henry VII. There are several coffee shops and restaurants specialising in freshly grown local produce, as well as art and craft shops. For keen walkers you can discover some truly gorgeous beaches, coves and dramatic cliffs on some of the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which runs from Amroth in the south, passing Burton and onto Cardigan in the north. Within a 20-minute drive you can explore Pembrokeshire’s glorious beaches such as Barafundle, Freshwater West, Broad Haven and Little Haven, to name a few, or visit the pretty coastal town of Tenby with its award-winning beaches, many cafés, restaurants and daily boat trips to Caldey Island. There are also boat trips to Skomer Island to see the seals and puffins, and fishing trips which can be booked from the Neyland Marina. Beach 6 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
