The larches is the perfect place to get away from it all. The lodge it’s self has every thing you need, it’s defiantly home from home. It’s setting is amazing, the peace and quiet is unbelievable. Sitting out in the hot tub looking up at the stars is the perfect end to the day. Gareth is an excellent host, full of local information and nothing is to much trouble. We will return for sure.

Peaceful, relaxing, restful and simply wonderful. Location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle. The area is very interesting with lots of places to get lost in nature, just watch out for the hungry cows! Gareth was brilliant, with lots of local knowledge, heed his wise words. Looking forward to our next visit

Absolutely perfect! Great location with stunning views, helpful and super friendly owner. Hot tub was fab, lodge was warm and comfy and the small attention to detail (such as a little jug of milk in the fridge when we got there) was most welcome. Love, love, loved it!! :) We'll be back...

Had a really great stay at the larches. The lodge was completely spotless and the owner goes the extra mile ensuring the small touches are there e.g tea and coffee, ice in the freezer etc. It's a lovely rural location about 4 miles down a single track road to the closest village/town. The local amenities have everything you need, but you do have to drive to get to them. Beatiful views which are great to enjoy from the hotub. Overall a really relaxing and great place to stay!

Such a great holiday home - surroundings so peaceful, with the gentle baaing from the sheep in the field. The hot tub was lovely, just right to relax in during the evening. Just the holiday that we needed. Gareth is a great host, very welcoming. If you ever find any issues in the cottage - please tell him. He is very happy to sort problems out (not saying that we had any!) Would definitely recommend The Larches - we will probably return in the not so distant future.

Absolutely faultless. We went for a week away from hustle and bustle and that’s exactly what we got. Beautiful scenery, took full advantage of the hot tub and Gareth was an incredible and attentive host. Can’t recommend this place enough - will definitely return.

This is one of the best cottages we have ever had, all the equipment we could need, and a very warm welcome from Gareth. Will definitely revisit.
