This is our second visit and we was not dissapointed. We love the location, very peaceful and great views. The lodge was home from home, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was fantastic and we made good use of it. We would highly recommend The Larches.

We had another fabulous stay at The Larches. The lodge is well equipped and the expansive views are amazing. It is especially great to be in the hot tub when there is a starry sky.

A beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere - Perfect. A wonderful friendly welcome from Gareth and Anne. Stunning scenery with lovely long walks - Geocaching heaven for anyone in the know. There are no local amenities but that is just what we wanted and were well aware of this when we booked, so everything we needed for the weekend we took with us - didn't have to use the car at all. Hot tub was a superb way to end the days, enjoying the night sky in all its glory with no light pollution. Cottage was clean and homely with everything we needed to relax and unwind. If you want a tranquil location with stunning views and lovely walks this is perfect for you as it is relaxation personified. We will definitely return. Thank you Gareth and Anne.

It was just what we needed. A hot tub and seclution. Views. Peace and quiet. We watched the stars at night from the hot tub. Amazing! We wanted to see shooting stars and we did. We love this place.

An excellent luxurious lodge that is ideal for a week or weekend of total relaxation. The height of pampering is relaxing in the Hot Tub for an hour after a day out. Local amenities include Pubs and shops about five miles from site. Lots of lovely views of the Welsh hills and valleys. A great day out is a visit to the Elan Valley Reservoirs for a long walk or bike ride or just wander around the visitor centre. See the wildlife and birds aplenty. Very much enjoyed the week. Thankyou.

15th-18th September - loved this lodge, had everything we needed. Hot tub was amazing, looking at the stars from it at midnight was fantastic. Listening to the owls and seeing a barn owl fly over us at one point was great. It was so quiet here and did not see any traffic all the time we were here except the odd farm vehicle. We cannot wait to come back.

The Larches is well equipped and decorated and furnished to a high standard. There is everything you need for a real home from home experience, even down to a games console in the lounge and comfy loungers to enjoy the outside space. The views from the lodge are delightful and best enjoyed from the hot tub. The location is remote and it is well worth taking all the supplies you feel you will need as the closest town is a good 20 min drive along a single track road. If you are a geocacher, there are a couple of good trails right on the doorstep and good walks locally. The owners are living close by but they are welcoming and unobtrusive. Lots of bird watching to be done and there are plenty of sheep to listen to as they graze the fields directly behind the lodge. The Larches is really well soundproofed, there was no noise disturbance when doors/windows were shut at night. For us, the only downside was that the beds were a little too firm. I would love to pick this lodge up and transport it to a location closer to my own home and would recommend it highly for a relaxing holiday.
