    > Situated in a picturesque, coastal position with spectacular views over Carmarthen Bay, this large, detached barn has been sympathetically converted to retain its original charm and character, making it an unforgettable experience for a family or groups looking to explore West Wales. This holiday property, adjacent to the owner’s home, is bursting with original character including original stone walls and beams, whilst lots of welcoming touches have been added for that homely feel throughout. For children and family entertainment, the barn boasts a spacious games room equipped with a pool and football table, a great distraction during inclement weather. Outside, guests can enjoy their large, lawned garden with a patio area, where they can sit, relax and unwind whilst watching the sun set over the idyllic bay. Carmarthenshire itself has lots on offer, including fantastic walks along the Millennium Coastal Path, which leads through scenic Pembrey Country Park, which is renowned for its dry ski slope, horse riding trails and 7 miles of beaches. For sports enthusiasts, visitors can enjoy a round of golf at the Jack Nicklaus course or watch live sport at the Llanelli Scartlets Rugby stadium and nearby Ffos Las racecourse. Away from the coast, the Carmarthenshire countryside is just as promising with its array of charming market towns and medieval castles including Kidwelly and Laugharne, or guests can visit the National Botanical Garden of Wales. Just a 60-minute drive away is the popular tourist resort of Tenby, with its cobbled streets, traditional Welsh pubs and thrilling leisure parks which are waiting to be explored. Beach ½ mile. Shop and pub 1 mile.

The cottage was lovely, with everything we needed. There weren't any very local amenities, but fortunately we had brought with us, enough for the first day. We found the bedrooms a little too warm and had to swap one of our grandchildren to another bedroom so she wasn't too hot during the night. Unfortunately, the gale force winds that we experienced when we first arrived, blew one of the bedside lights off the cupboard and it broke so we must apologise for that.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with other reviewers of this property. While the property is ideally situated in Carmarthenshire and has plenty of space for a large group we were disappointed by a few things: Firstly the description of the property and photos do not indicate how close the Old Cow Shed is to the other two cottages - literally 5 metres. There is no screening between the properties so both visually and audibly you are aware of the other properties and they you. If you are happy with this arrangement then fine. Secondly the photo with lovely garden furniture isn't quite what is actually provided - namely 4 picnic tables which are certainly less than comfortable for eating outside. We had two specific problems with the property. The second fridge would not work below 7 degrees. With a party of 13 you really need a large fridge! Also the hot tub jets failed on the second day. On both occasions when we contacted the number for help they could not solve the problem. Also their manner was rather dismissive with no apology. A final point, when I re-read the reviews it turned out that someone else had reported the broken toaster and yet this was still in the property. For the prices being charged we would expect a more responsive approach to correcting faults with key equipment that makes the holiday work for a large party. For these reasons I would therefore not recommend this property.

So pleased I found this place. It is a little gem! We had so much fun and the location was stunning and the property itself couldn't have been better. The only thing was the toaster needed replacing but I imagine from the care that is clearly taken in the rest of the building that the owners were probably unaware there was an issue. I will definitely be back at the farm as I was so impressed with the facilities and location.

This is a first class property, the photos does not do it justice. Every room and bathroom was spotless. The kitchen has everything you need and the table is huge ? The beds were comfy and bedrooms spacious. Lovely seating area with room for everyone. Hot tub was great and the outside area safe for young children. Would have no hesitation in going back again. Thank you for a great weekend.

Good value for money, beautiful looking cottage which was very homely with lovely views. Welsh cakes on arrival were a lovely touch! Appliances need updating/fixing - oven cooks very slowly, and toaster only toasts one side of the bread. Heating was a little too warm and very difficult to work out how to turn down. Location is very pretty, and ideal if you plan to do not very much however there is not much to do within walking distance if you are bored. General cleanliness of the cottage was great, however there was a stray pin on the floor which made its way into the heel of one of our party's children! Also, the plug in the upstairs bathroom does not work so water doesn't stay in the bath! However, water pressure in showers was great considering so many of us were using them at the same time.

We had a fantastic weekend at the old cow shed. The property is perfect for a large gathering of friends or family. The property is even better in real life than the pictures shown on the web site and is so well equipped they cater for your every need. We are already thinking of booking a return visit.

We were a group of 12 work colleagues and friends celebrating a 50th birthday. The cottage was the perfect space, beautiful, clean and had all the utensils we needed, including a games area. Highly recommend the Kings Arms who were so welcoming, excellent food and even put up some birthday banners to make it extra special. Fantastic experience and happy memories were made here. Thank you, diolch yn fawr.

Excellent large cottage for big groups. Well equipped and very clean. We were a group of 11 women (book club] and had a lovely long weekend. Everyone agreed that the rooms were lovely and the hot tub fantastic. My only suggestion would be to have rugs in the sitting areas to reduce the noise off all the hard surfaces.

My friend and I chose the Cowshed to celebrate our birthdays with a group of friends. It was perfect for our needs but would also be great for large families too. It was well equipped and had everything that we needed to celebrate. There was plenty of space for everybody to not feel like you were on top of each other for relaxing whether it was in the lounge area catching up with friends, sitting around the impressive dining table with a glass of wine, playing pool upstairs or chilling out in the hot tub! It was a shame that we all had to leave, it was such a relaxing and beautiful house to stay in. If the opportunity came up we would love to return again.
