Comfortably and stylishly furnished whilst retaining original features such as thick stone walls and pillars, it is a real home from home. Within easy reach are the ski slopes of the Lecht and Cairngorm, or by contrast enjoy the wonderful sandy beaches of the Moray Firth around Lossiemouth and Nairn, where the famous Moray Firth dolphins can be regularly spotted. Visit the fairytale Ballindalloch Castle, two miles, or the ruins of Drumin Castle and its walled garden. The malt whisky trail starts close by, with Cragganmore Distillery less than one mile from the house. There are very good shops including a delicatessen at Aberlour, nine miles, large supermarkets in Elgin, 25 miles, and Inverness, 47 miles. Salmon fishing is available locally (at cost, licence required). Local store, post office, fuel station and pub/restaurant within one mile.

Had a really lovely stay at The Old Granary. The cottage was very well kept and we had everything that we needed to make it a home from home. Would love to go back in the future.

We had a wonderful time at The Old Grannery. The location was fantastic. We walked out the back doors on to a walkway beside the river. I would highly recommend this cottage. We liked it so much we are booked for next year.

We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised. The open plan living area was lovely with a fabulous large corner sofa perfect for stretching out on (It would've been good to have a blanket provided). Kitchen was well equipped (only thing we needed that wasn't provided was a rolling pin and scone cutter but not everyone will want to bake on holiday). There was always plenty of hot water and the house was generally very warm, however it would benefit from dealing with the drafts from the doors. The bathroom was excellent and having an extra WC was really helpful. Both bedrooms were a good size, excellent wardrobes and storage space. We were in the bedroom with 2 windows and found the mattress very soft which could be a problem if you have back trouble like us. The property is stylish but in a very homely way which was really nice. There are loads of walks in the area with the speyside way on the doorstep. Would recommend staying at this property which is well priced for what you get.
