Inside the cottage has been tastefully furnished and retains some original features including arched doorways high ceilings and wooden floors with a cosy open fire in the living room leading through to a small kitchendining room. At the back the sunny sheltered patio slopes upward to a lovely lawn and is perfect for alfresco meals.\nA walkers and cyclists paradise there are plenty of waymarked paths through arable countryside of the Vale of Strathmore through Meigle Ardler and Coupar Angus to the more challenging glens beyond Blairgowrie. Renowned for its soft fruit there are plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby showcasing local produce and a good range of shops locally and further afield in Dundee and Perth. Glamis Castle the childhood home of H.M Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and the Pictish Stone Museum are well worth a visit and the cottage is within half an hour of the Cairngorms National Park. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and Pitlochry is within easy reach. We stayed during a particularly cold and stormy period of weather, and it was difficult to get the house sufficiently warm.

Lovely cottage, idyllic setting, close enough for supplies. Very cosy for nights in watching Netflix with the fire roaring besides you. Owners are very kind and helpful. Look forward to staying again.

The only bad point about our break was having to leave ! From the minute we made the booking everything was 1st class. The cottage itself is superb. I have had many, many breaks away and this accommodation is the best I have stayed in. The owners have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. The welcome pack alone was a lovely touch. If you are looking for a break in Scotland with a good location to travel around and you need somewhere that accepts dogs.... then this is the place to go. I cant recommend it highly enough....if I could award 6 stars I would, it was that good. oh the open fire was pretty great too !! :-)
