Sitting pretty within the Pentney Abbey Estate you will truly relax as you drive past the beautiful abbey ruins and head to your cottage. The abbey itself dates back to the 12th century and sits within a beautiful 35-acre site. From here, it is just 20 minutes to the centre of Kings Lynn, making this perfect for those travelling to the area on business as well as those looking for a lovely holiday retreat. The Farmhouse (UKC6630) sleeps eight guests and boasts one ground floor bedroom with an en-suite and a further two bathrooms. Walnut Cottage (UKC6632) and Fig Tree Cottage (UKC6631) both offer ground floor accommodation throughout sleeping four, the latter offering two bathrooms. This is also a great location for groups holidaying together or businesses looking for somewhere to get away and hold small, informal conferences, training sessions and meetings.
These delightful properties are also close to some impressive fishing lakes and in just under half an hour you can be at the stunning Norfolk coastline where you will find an array of coastal habitats appealing to sun worshippers, wild swimmers, bird watchers and walkers alike. Visit RSPB Snettisham Marshes and get close to nature, lose yourself in the rolling sand dunes at Heacham, take a stroll along the stripey cliffs at Hunstanton or visit the picturesque quay in Wells-next-the-Sea. There is also a lot of history in the area with the Holkham, Houghton and Sandringham Estates, Castle Rising, Castle Acre, Norwich Castle, The Hanseatic Quarter of old Kings Lynn and Peckover House all within easy reach. And after a busy day sightseeing enjoy everything that is on offer and be sure of a good night’s sleep at the Farmhouse.
