What a fantastic place to stay! The accommodation is obviously quite new but that alone does not necessarily guarantee a great experience. What makes this place exceptional is the care and thought that has gone into the planning and equipping of the property. Cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots and pans are all of a high quality and plentiful. Electrical items such as the hob and cooker, kettle, toaster are all of top quality. There is a even a bluetooth speaker in the living area to hook up to your phone or tablet and USB charging points on many of the sockets. Bedding and towels are, again, top quality. The TV is excellent with Freeview Play and the free internet works perfectly throughout. The property is all on ground floor level with an integrated kitchen/living area with sufficient space, two bedrooms, a high quality shower room fitted with a power shower and even a separate drying room with a heated drying rail and dehumidifier. Parking is plentiful across the road in view of the front windows but the major attraction out front is the stunning views of the Wastwater Screes looking beautiful as the sun goes down. There is a shared patio type area around the back where a neighbour has put up several bird feeders and you can spend hours just watching woodpeckers, chaffinches, siskins, tits and many other birds. The location is superb for Wasdale and Eskdale or getting out to the coast or walking the fells. Come out of the front gate, turn left, and you can be walking up Middle Fell in minutes. Overall this is one of the best self-catering places we have ever stayed at and quite reasonable value. Highly recommended.
