Situated in the small hamlet of Totaig, half a mile from the main Dunvegan to Glendale Road, The Sheiling Skye occupies a peaceful and secluded position on the family croft, next to Loch Dunvegan. The lodge overlooks the Loch, and The Sheilings Skye’s own woodland which can be explored en-route to your own private beach, perfect for fishing or wild swimming. Wildlife lovers will often be able to spot sea eagles, seals, otters and dolphins from the croft.
The Sheiling Skye is a lovely wooden lodge with a wood burner, separate bedroom with kingsize bed, shower room with Highland Soap Company toiletries, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. From the Sheiling Skye’s elevated position, you have panoramic views across Loch Dunvegan to Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach, the Cuillin Mountains and the Outer Isles. The absence of light pollution makes for incredible night skies, including wonderful displays from the Northern Lights.
This area of northwest Skye is perfect for those that enjoy walking. Close by there is Waterstein Head, Dunvegan Head, Neist Point Lighthouse and Macleod’s Tables. Food lovers can enjoy the world-famous Three Chimneys Restaurant which is just a 5-minute drive from the property. If you are looking for rest, relaxation and a break from the everyday, a warm welcome awaits in your ‘home away from home’. Reconnect with nature and each other in this unforgettable place.
