After we back from holiday landlord r too fussy who looking to little thing to keep it ur deposit.like a we left a toothpaste on the table iron board we left in the sitting room unused vegetables left in fridge also tiny stains on the cooker and the table.and we left wheelbarrow by the back door.main important thing the day we arrive AGA was on.the kitchen was very hot we turned off AGA and after we did not use AGA seven days but landlord charges us for the 125pound fix AGA.we never had that much bad experience in my holiday.

We had A great family holiday with ages ranging from 6to 86 at Lowick Bridge at The Vicarage . SSpacious public rooms ,well equipped utility room, cosy kitchen ,spacious gardens for games set in beautiful pastoral scenery.A good centre for touring the south Lakes by car , not so good for local walks for old folk and toddlers Handles on bath inupstairs bathroom would be a help. Toilet Brushes definitely need renewed and extra toilet rolls needed

We rented the cottage over the Christmas period and it was delightful. The cottage is full of rustic charm and character and in an ideal location. There is a really good pub within easy walking distance which the male members of our party frequented on several occasions. The pub food was good and the landlord very friendly. The cottage kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, pots, plates etc, along with a fabulous Arga. In one of the previous reviews it mentioned the cottage being cold. We didn't have that problem at all - we found the storage heaters to be more than adequate along with 2 open coal fires which gave the cottage a cozy ambience. The owner was very friendly - making sure coal and wood were supplied for our arrival. I would not hesitate in recommending a stay at this beautiful cottage.
