Nature is the perfect backdrop to this getaway, with stunning views of Roundton Hill National Nature Reserve and the distinctive peak of Corndon Hill, Long Mountain and the Stiper Stones. We are a new site with currently 1 safari tent available. The interior is stylish and elegant in its decoration and furnishings, with the open plan living space acting as the social hub. A TV and WiFi throughout provides the entertainment. This flows into a dining area and a well-equipped modern kitchen. The lodge has two bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities, as well as a double sofa bed. A shower room completes the picture. Outside is a private hot tub on the veranda, accessed by glazed patio doors. This can be enjoyed all year round, whatever the weather.
With recently planted native trees around the site, the lodge is designed to have as little impact on its environment and the wildlife as possible. Sit back with a drink or a good book, or choose to explore a little further afield with many great walks right on the doorstep. There are also great pubs and restaurants nearby.
The Shropshire Hills and the Wales/England border are situated a stone’s throw away. It is well positioned for the more adventurous travellers, with trail walking and cycle routes to suit every ability, and the famous Offa’s Dykes path passes only a few steps away. With golf, castles, the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside and the Shropshire Hills all available locally, there are endless amounts of activities to choose from. We are also situated just over an hour away from fantastic beaches.
Forden is between Welshpool and Montgomery. Montgomery with its medieval street layout, imposing Town Hall, mix of Georgian, Victorian and timber framed buildings it is a place where time seems to stand still. Stroll around the local shops offering gifts, or there are a few lovely independent cafes serving homemade cakes, a delicatessen and a couple of great restaurants.
You really are surrounded by astounding scenery everywhere you go. Enjoy windswept walks, and breath-taking views, before coming back to unwind and relax at The View.
