If your coming to Tideswell ( and you should) then check availability at this cottage 1st... Comfy firm bed not zip together mattress... Comfy and clean sofas... Compact clean property with lovely small garden... Adequste kitchen but hey eat out as The George and Elliots are too good to miss... We have booked a return trip as more walks to do from the cottage more eateries to try more lanes within Tideswell to explore... And hey Netflix every evening...lol...Thank you....

We had a wonderful week's holiday at Thorncliffe Cottage. It was perfect for our needs - cosy and comfortable with tasteful décor, but it didn't feel as if we were intruding in someone's home (as some holiday cottages do!). We found it very well equipped with everything we needed. The enclosed courtyard garden was great for our dog.

Lovely cottage and well equipped. Beautiful walks nearby and had some good meals in local pubs. Wanted to be a reasonable distance to Sheffield to visit family which it was and a scenic drive.

Very comfortable cottage, clean and well equipped. One drawback the stairs are very steep and care is needed especially taking the suitcases up and down! We had a most enjoyable time.

This is a cosy cottage in a decent location with some good walking from the door. The drives to Kinder Scout and Castleton (cave Dale/ Mam Toor etc.) were easy. Two issues - the heating was on 24/7 and too hot overnight (bedroom radiator turned off) and there's no blind on the bathroom window (more or less at street level).

Beautiful, bright and airy cottage with an easy to use log burner. Lovely welcome pack/gifts. Beautiful garden at the back. Very convenient location for visits to key places in the Peak District. Had all the amenities I'd have hoped for - lack of a tumble dryer was not a problem at all as there is a very efficient airer in the cellar and all the washing dried overnight (I'll probably invest in one of those and cut down on the tumble drier use at home!). I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage to others.
