Ideally located in the conservation town of Aberfeldy, in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Toad Hall is a pretty, stone built, semi-detached cottage, originally built in 1890. Within walking distance of all the local amenities, Aberfeldy has a community cinema, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, deli’s, independent shops and an award-winning book shop. There is also a vibrant live music scene in the area, as well as the Highland Games, Aberfeldy Festival and the annual Caledonian Etape cycle event. Great for walkers and cyclists there are many established public footpaths and cycle ways that lead directly from the front door into the heart of rural Perthshire. The River Tay runs through Aberfeldy providing the perfect landscape for a gentle stroll along the river bank, white water rafting or fishing, with permits available locally.
The Birks of Aberfeldy provide a scenic walk through a gorge and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with many varieties of flora and fauna to admire. Highland Perthshire is well known for outdoor activities including hill walking, mountain biking and climbing, with seven Munros within 20 miles, including Ben Lawers (Perthshire’s highest mountain) and Schiehallion. Sailing and boat trips are available on Loch Tay, or experience some of the wildlife on a Highland safari.
