A lovely time was had - The owners were extremely helpful when I needed them for some assistance. Would most certainly recommend this very well equipped comfortable cottage.

Townsend was a great cottage to stay in for a weekend break. Located on a farm, there’s plenty of long walks to take in the local area. We drove into the village centre and walked along the old railway paths. There are lots of local pubs and takeaways although you have to collect as they don’t deliver. The cottage was really cosy and the hosts were brilliant answering any of our questions! Louise even invited us to see the new born baby lambs. We took our dog too and he loved his doggy welcome pack and sleeping in front of the fire. The fire was stocked up for one night and the information pack said it would be £5 each night after. The cottage was a little cold sometimes when the heating was on so I would recommend taking slippers! Definitely don’t let it put you off though. The cottage was spotless and there were plenty of leaflets with local activities. Some were a drive away but not too far. Would love to stay here again, really peaceful and cosy, can’t recommend it enough!

This cottage it absolutely beautiful. The kitchen and bathroom are spotless! The log fire is my favourite part of the cottage. Although if 6ft or taller be careful of the low door frames and beams- my partner nearly knocked himself out twice. Overall lovely place will definitely be returning.

Fantastic cottage! Just what we needed for a relaxing break away.

Had a wonderful comfortable stay. We usually stay more western Cumbria area so made a nice change. The dogs loved running around the secure garden. Was greeted by a nice little welcome pack and the owner made sure we had got there okay (we arrived after dark and couldn't find the cottage!). Loved having an Alexa for music, weather forecast etc. Bed was a little on the small size but only cause we are used to a King. The road in and out of Soulby can be a bit hairy. Good value for money and a great holiday!
