Town End cottage is very beautiful, equipped with everything you need during your holiday! Very friendly owners who give you all the help and privacy you need. Lovely enclosed garden for dogs and kids. Local shops can be found within a ten minute drive from the cottage. We would love to come back here!

We had a lovely time. Was a bit chilly as central heating wasn’t enough for chilly evenings. Not viable to light log fire. Would have liked to have shaver point but couldn’t find one. Only one plastic teaspoon. Other than that, a lovely cottage, very comfortable and lovely surroundings. Would recommend to friends

Very good location, easy access to local amenities and walks. The only criticism I have is that there were limited kitchen utensils. We bought a couple of items such as a potato masher etc to make life easier. Plenty of crockery and glass wear though.

A great place to break our journey from Scotland. The cottage is practical and in a nice situation on the edge of the village.

The property is warm and comfortable. It should be noted that there are some low beams and not a lot of headroom entering the stairs at each end of the stairwell. There are no issues of noise from the nearby working farm. The owners have done a lot to make the property a suitable holiday cottage and we felt anything we found detrimental was minor. You do have to be aware of the narrow road out to Kirby Stephen and the speed of some of the local drivers can lead to the odd hairy moment. On balance we feel the property was very good value for money.

This cottage was the perfect retreat in a quiet setting. A lovely, cosy and comfortable escape. The log fire kept us warm on cold, wintry evenings and the cottage was well equipped for all our needs. The master bed was very comfortable, we slept like logs! Louise was fab and we highly recommend this property and this owner.

Lovely weekend away in the cosy Townend cottage. Had everything we needed and we loved the wood burning fire to keep us warm on a snowy weekend. Louise and Mark were easy to get hold of with any questions we had and very helpful. The cottage was in a great location too.
